look around and you'll see that at times it feels like no one really cares.
it gets me down but I'm still going to try to do whats right.
I know that there's a difference between slight of hand
and giving everything you have. If there's a line drawn in the sand
I'm working up the will to cross it and I hope that I will never let you down.
I know that this could be more than just flashing lights and sounds.

Slingshot Dakota and awesome
I spent most of that day lounging on Andy's couch trying to fight off this absolutely awful cold (I'm certain its a cold now). Drinking tea, orange juice and eating soup. Nothing seemed to really be helping at all. As soon as the music started, for the next few hours, I forgot how sick I was and just had a blast. Everyone played such good, diverse sets. Hello Halebopp, We Be Debris and other collaberative efforts and surprises, and Goodnight Neverland all were really great. Slingshot Dakota had so many great things to say. The entire time I thought to myself that there was no way anyone could walk away from what Tom was saying without having a warm feeling all around and a sense of belonging. They ended their set with Ohio. That song I think it a nutshell speaks volumes about the hardcore, punk and indie rock community around here and people closely affiliated and active in a lot of what goes on here. Its such a beautiful song. Matty and Jake from Knuckle Dragger came out to the show. It was good seeing some Auburn friends in attendance. In case you haven't had a chance to check them out. Auburn positive hardcore. Here's their myspace link. www.myspace.com/knucklexdragger
all around, a wonderful ending to what began as a shitty day for me.
